I have discovered a drawback to raising kids in a ‘we love sci-fi’ environment. While Eldest Boy has found his own likes and dislikes and is pretty much indifferent to the genre, Youngest Boy is so much like his dad it’s frightening.
And today, when told ‘no, we can’t put the Christmas decorations up now’ proceeded to use his Jedi Mind Trick to persuade me to change my mind.
I give up, I really do!!!
Christmas decorations? In November? Ye Gods! What next! Mind you, Christmas hit the high street in October so I suppose you can’t really complain…. but I shall try… Bah Humbug!
Luckily I was strong enough to resist!
as I said, it only works on the feeble minded….tell him to try it on the follically challenged one…

It’s good to see that almost 30 years after Star Wars the kids of today are still trying the Jedi Mind Trick! Still, it’s a shame no one has found out how to make it work yet, that could be a profitable skill!
