Hello, everyone! I just heard Joshua’s recommendation of our show The Who Noobs on your podcast. I figured I’d fill in some details for you guys. Kevin and I are both from Canada, where Doctor Who isn’t quite the phenomenon it is in the UK. However, I have numerous friends who are obsessively in love with the new series, and being a long-time fan of sci-fi, I thought it was a shame I’d never gotten into Doctor Who, especially with it’s long, rich history.
Another thing I’d always wanted to do was start a podcast, however I only wanted to do one if I could come up with an interesting, original idea. One day I put these two things together and came up with the idea for The Who Noobs. After some convincing, my friend Kevin, who was in a similar situation as myself with the show, agreed to come on board. And the rest is history!
We’re very grateful to Joshua for recommending us on your show and are very excited to now be a small part of the enormous Doctor Who fanbase. Kevin and I were very skeptical about liking the show at first (mostly Kevin), but we’re both happy to say we’re now big fans of these early 1960s, black and white, low-budget, sci-fi TV episodes. And from what I hear, the show only gets better!
