Great news about the laptop. I'm looking forward to listening to your new podcast on Ghostlight. I'm sure I'm missing something when it comes to that story. I look forward to enlightenment!

Sorry, I should have sent that file a couple of weeks ago! Finally just got around to it. Hopefully you will find it in your normal hotmail account (being that it's so short, I just sent the thing as a 16bit wav (just under 2MB before Base64 encoding)).

Thanks!

Just so you know.

There wont be a TDP for a week or so as My laptop is VERY broken.

I may be able to put something together using a tin can and some string but I have my doubts.

cheers

Wow! Thanks! I'm going to have to sit down and give this some thought before I nominate - there are so many categories! Okay, so most of them won't have an entry from me - Health and Fitness, Food and Drink... Does anyone really listen to podcasts like that?!

Thank you for the tip. I'm quite sure a certain metal canine named podcast will also get a nomination or two!

you may... have been nominated for a podcasting award...

I couldnt possibly comment...

Podcast Awards Nominations are open at

PodcastAwards.com.

Nominations are 40% of the total scoring, so please don’t think “I’ll just wait to vote, versus nominating”. And, you can only submit the form one time, so if you have several podcasts you want to nominate, you have to do so all at once. If you are so inclined, you CAN nominate ONE in both Entertainment and in People’s Choice.

Hi Chaps!

TDB, I'll send you a higher quality version of that thing at the end, if you'd like. It was entirely Fake Keith's idea and it took me several attempts to get the words right! I hardly ever watch adverts on TV!

I'm just about to catch up with your end of Trial podcast (should be while at work tomorrow!) I look forward to your comments on Jip and Pane's excruciating Valeyard dialog for Ultimate Foe!

Nathan B, glad to hear we influenced you to listen to the Earthshock commentary. Most commentaries are so dull but sometimes the people just manage to work together perfectly - this is one of those rare occasions!

Tickets for Hamlet, you say? That's impressive work getting hold of those. I have seen it performed at the Globe, though obviously not with Tennant (nor Stewart, for that matter). Surprisingly humorous play. I'm sure Tennant will make it even better in that department. You're certainly in for a treat. We got lucky with the Prom, not so for Hamlet. Glad to hear you've managed to get lucky this time, though. As for a review - we'd absolutely love to hear about it!

Yes, Curse of Fenric had some great Doctor/Ace stuff in there. Not to mention a sneaky look up Sophie's skirt to see her suspenders! That aside though, a wonderfully atmospheric story. The Cartmel influence was really starting to put the JNT bandwagon back on track by this point.

As for the updated effects. Well, I already made my thoughts clear - if you have the choice then what's the problem? Generally I'd go with the updated effects as, quite frankly, many old Who effects just fail and take me out of the story. I can get past that most of the time but if they can seamlessly improve them without detracting from the stories and actors then why not have the choice?

Anyway, thank you both!

I listened to the Earthshock commentary last night - hadn't bothered before. I'm glad I did because they are very funny. Not wishing to boast but I got a ticket to Hamlet! I will submit a review when it's over (and I have calmed down!)
My favourite doctor and companion moments come from the same show - Curse of Fenric - Ace's devout belief in the Doctor and the way he had to squash her faith - amazing stuff.
Another excellent cast guys - even though I disagree with Fake Keith about updating the effects on films. It's not as if the original version will vanish - it just gives people a choice.
Looking forward to the next.

oh and thanks for the bit at the end. Ill use it as a bumper in my show if thats ok. I was going to ask if you had a trailer I could play as part of the TDP but I think this will do for the time being.

best of all I can now stop talking about THE Trial

Oh and nicely handled question about TCB!
